Privacy Policy for Mirror

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Mirror looks at a photo of your face, works out your face shape and features, and recommends hairstyles and looks that suit you. This policy covers the Android and iOS apps.

Developer: MD Sadakat Hussain Fahad, publishing as Intently · Contact: mirror@liveintently.app

The short version

  • To analyse your face, Mirror uploads a photo you choose to our server and sends it to an AI vision model.
  • The photo is deleted as soon as the analysis is done, unless you turn on Save history.
  • We keep your account, the analysis results and the styles you save, until you delete them.
  • No ads, and we don’t sell your data or use your photos to train AI models.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address (if you sign in with a one-time email code), or the account identifier, email and name shared by Google or Apple if you use them.
  • Face photos: the photos you take or pick for analysis.
  • Analysis results: the face shape, features and recommendations Mirror produces for you.
  • Saved styles, preferences and privacy settings you choose in the app.
  • Purchases: if you subscribe, your subscription status. Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card details.

How face photos are handled

  1. The photo goes straight from your phone to a private storage bucket over an encrypted connection. It is never public.
  2. Our server sends it to an AI vision model to recognise face shape and features. The model is provided by Anthropic (Claude) or Google (Gemini), acting on our behalf, and receives only the photo, not your name or email.
  3. When the analysis finishes, the original photo is deleted from storage. Only the analysis result is kept.
  4. If you turn on Save history, photos are kept with your analyses so you can look back at them, until you delete the photo, the analysis or your account.

Mirror uses your face only to describe its shape and features for recommendations. It does not create a faceprint, recognise who you are, or compare you with other people.

Permissions

  • Camera and photos: only when you choose to take or pick a photo.
  • Internet: to upload photos and get your results.

Sharing

We don’t sell or rent your data or use it for advertising. Data reaches only our service providers: the AI model provider above, our cloud hosting and storage, our email provider (to send sign-in codes), Google and Apple (sign-in and purchases), and anyone the law requires us to disclose it to.

Retention and deletion

  • Original photos: deleted after analysis, or kept while Save history is on.
  • Account, analyses and saved styles: until you delete them. Deleting your account in the app (Profile → Privacy → Delete account & data) removes your account, analyses, saved styles and any stored photos.
  • Sign-in codes and session tokens expire and are purged daily.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data in the app or by emailing mirror@liveintently.app. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, CCPA or Illinois BIPA) you may have further rights; we’ll answer within 30 days.

Children

Mirror is not for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Changes are posted here with a new date; significant changes are announced in the app.
